Phillip's 2025 Cairns to Cooktown ride for FNQHF
Note: the 2024 clock winners were Noreen K from Perth and Evan G from London.
Ride 15 for FNQHF in Cardiac Challenge 2025
I am again riding in the Cardiac Challenge and here is the 2025 donation link. There is yet another new clock for a lucky supporter but this time, I've added some weather related sensors. This new "weather clock" looks exactly like
Inside the Greens case is:
+ Atomic-based time receiver using a uBlox neo-6M v2 GPS module (location also available);+ Temperature and humidity from an Aosong AHT20 chip;+ Air pressure from a Bosch BMP280 chip.
When satellite reception is unreliable (e.g. deep inside some building), then the clock can also access atomic time via a WiFi link to the internet.
Phillip's donations:
A map for every ride: this route map was provided for my first ride in 2011 - one of the best.
Ideas for ride #16: maybe a 2026 clock should use the uBlox neo-8M.
A rough circuit for the 2025 clock:
